Giving

" Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. "

Luke 6:38

Your Giving Changes Lives

Because of your generous giving, we're able to reach the world with the truth of God's Word, and a message of Hope. Together, we're providing life-giving ministries, training disciples, planting churches, and sending teams of people to other nations to help transform lives. Your giving continues to make an impact for the kingdom of God.

Why Give?

Why do we give to God, when He owns everything?

The Bible tells us that we should honour God with our tithes and offerings. This is so that the needs of the Church are taken care of and the gospel is preached outside the four walls of the Church.

Believe it or not tithing is for our benefit, as God doesn't need our money. Tithing is an act of faith, knowing God will also meet our own needs, as we obey Him in this area of our lives.

"Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the first of all your produce" Proverbs 3:9

Why does God wants to bless us?

Like a good father wanting to give his child a great gift, God also wants give gifts to us, and He has

promised to bless us when we give.

If we prioritise His Kingdom and are good stewards over what He has already given to us, He will ensure we are taken care of in the process.

The Bible says we should,

"Give generously to the poor, not grudgingly, for the LORD your God will bless you in everything you do." Deuteronomy 15:10

How much do I give?

According to the Bible, the tithe is 10% of your gross income.

We don't earn favours from God by tithing, but tithing reveals our devotion to Him, and shows that we trust Him with our lives.

Giving goes beyond the tithe. Those who give understand that God owns everything and he asks us to return some of that to Him.

"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

2 Corinthians 9:7

Why is giving linked to my heart?

Sacrificing a portion of our income helps us look beyond ourselves, and makes us more aware of the needs of others. It's a heart thing, a free- will offering to God for the benefit of another. "Freely you have received, freely give." Matthew 10:8-9.

Giving will affect your heart and change your life, making you more thankful and generous, and will keep you from the love of money.

Extravagant giving is also just as exciting. The Bible says, "Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, 'I will never leave you; I will never abandon you.'"

Hebrews 13:5
